S.I. EVENTS
South Island power boat marathon and off-shore events to be run this year are: Queenstown, July 15, Invercargill, August 26; Dunedin, September 2; Lyttelton, September 9; Akaroa, September 30; Picton, October 8; Lake Kaniere, October 22; Timaru, November 4; Aviemore, November 25. A race, under the South Island Marathon Boat Commission’s rules, will be held at Nelson, probably next year. A race was held at Nel-
son this year but it was not under the aegis of the | commission and therefore i could not count towards the South Island Driver of the Year Award.
