r.V Z P.A.-Reutrr—Copyright i ROME July 12 About 30 of the world's fishing nations have agreed voluntarily to reduce their catches m the interests of fish conservation, said the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation. The countries, which belong to a U.N. Food and Agriculture Organisation committee on fisheries in the eastern central Atlantic, has recommended that trawlers use nets with larger mesh sizes.

This would allow smalle fish of all species to escape and would result in signifi cantly larger catches in th< long run, said the organisa tion.
