S.C.F. appeal plans
The Save the Children Fund will conduct its first house-to-house appeal in North Canterbury this year.
Mr J. R. Withington, presi-' dent of the appeal committee, saaid at the branch’s annual meeting yesterday that to cover the whole of central Christchurch 2000 persons would be needed.
However, it was decided to divide Christchurch into 200 areas of 300 houses, each with an area supervisor and eight to 10 collectors. “At the moment we are in need .of collectors,” Mr Withington said. The appeal will be held on Saturday, September 16.
