SOUTHLAND SISTERS.—Two young Southland women, Misses Gail and Glenis Smith, 25-year-old twins, are both working at the King Edward VII Hospital in London. Miss Gail Smith is a medical sister in the tuberculosis ward, and Miss Glenis Smith is a surgical sister in the ward that specialises in the Charnley hip operation. The twins have worked together on several nursing jobs in England and the Channel Islands, assigned to them by the British United Provident Association Nursing Senices, Ltd. They plan to return home to Gore in October.
