Scott and Lloyd
“The Gnomes of Dulwich,” a new 8.8. C. comedy series, presents an insight into the much-maligned garden gnome. Big and Small are a pair of stone-built, rather old fashioned garden gnomes who have problems. Number one is having to sit by a rock pool trying to look cheerful while the neighbouring gardens are being steadily overrun by inferior Hong Kong plastic gnomes. This new species also includes something never before encountered by Big and Small—girl gnomes. The second source of constant puzzlement are the Human Beans. Big and Small have only the vaguest ideas of what they are all about. Cars, they are positive, are part of some esoteric religion.
Terry Scott and Hugh Lloyd star as Big and Small, with Leon Thau as Leader of the Plastics, and John Clive as their very old companion gnome, called Old. Linda James and Richard Brierley play Human Beans.
"The Gnomes of Dulwich” was produced by Sydney Lotterby and begins screening from CHTV3 next Monday.
