The New Zealand Rugby League will be asked to extend the tour of the national team so that it can play an extra match against Queensland next week.
The Kiwis are due to fly home on Monday after the second test in Queensland on Saturday. The president of the Queensland Rugby League (Senator Ronald McAuliffe) said he would like the New Zealanders to play a night game against Queensland next Wednesday.
Patterson Cup golf.— Weedons A, with 6$ points, won the Selwyn zone of the Patterson Cup golf competition. Final round results were: Hororata 5, Lincoln A 3; Lincoln B 4, Bumham 4; Weedons B 4, Greendale 4; Weedons A 4, Ellesmere 4.
Australian Rules.—An Australian Bules football exhibition will be given in Moscow by two Melbourne teams, Carlton and a combined clubs side, when they go on an overseas tour in October.
