Search for scouts
(N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, July 12. Searchers for two 18-year-old Te Aroha scouts who have been missing in the rugged Matea forest block about 70 miles south-east of Rotorua since Sunday today found their names in a log book in the Pukanui hut, about three miles from where the boys had been staying with 13 other scouts.
The date entered in the log was July 8, the day before the boys went missing. No other trace of them was found today. The search will continue tomorrow.
