AGGRAVATED ROBBERY
Accused plead guilty
Michael Patrick George Bennett, aged 23 (Mr L. M. O’Reilly), and Angela Patricia Leahy, aged 16 (Mr J. E. Butler), pleaded guilty on arraignment in the Supreme Court yesterday on a joint charge that on June 9. being armed with an offensive weapon, a 22-calibre automatic pistol, they robbed William Henry Gorely and his wife, Ethel Hannah Gorely. of $7 and caused grievous bodily harm to Mr Gorely.
Mr Justice Woodhouse remanded them in custody to a date to be determined so that psychiatric reports can be obtained. Mr N. W. Williamson appeared for the Crown.
