Jumbo jet in April

(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 11. Air New Zealand will start scheduled DCIO services on its North American route next April 2. Limited services between Auckland, Sydney, and Nandi would start before April, but details were still to be settled, said Mr C. J. Keppel, general manager of Air New Zealand. The jet will fly three times a week to Los Angeles at first, and will eventually take over the North American route. Mr Keppel said the new aircraft would be used mainly on the North American route because that had the greatest potential for New Zealand tourism. House passed in.—A twobedroom weatherboard house on a 10.1-perch section, zoned R 3, at 445 Tuam Street, Linwood, was passed in at $6OOO at auction yesterday. The Government valuation is $2600. The property was offered by Ford and Hadfield, Ltd, in conjunction with M. B. Cook and Company. The auctioneer was Mr T. Battersby.
