Butter-oil project
The E.E.C. Commission has proposed a gift of butter-oil to developing countries, which should help to keep the Common Market’s butter surplus under control. It will make available 15,000 tons of butter-oiL The World Food Organisation programme will receive 10,000 tons; the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees. 2000 tons; and the remainder will go to Burundi. Egypt Jordan, Lebanon and Rwanda. The cost of the project is estimated at £13.4m.— London, Julv 10.
