Contract for Ham work
(From Our Own Reporter)
WELLINGTON, July 3
A contract has been let for the construction of buildings for the geography and psychology departments at the University of Canterbury. The Minister of Education (Mr Pickering) announced today that the tender of T. E. Marriott and Son for $773,503 had been accepted, covering the construction of two laboratory blocks for the departments. “It is hoped that construction will be completed to enable the university to move to Ham in 1974,” said Mr Pickering.
The successful tender was the lowest of seven received.
