LEAGUE SQUAD New prop, Taite, chosen
The Sydenham prop, P. Taite, who is playing his first season of senior Rugby league, has been chosen in the Canterbury squad for representative matches in the remainder of the season.
A strong, rugged player. Taite impressed with the way he handled N. P Bert in Sydepliam’s surprise win against Marist-Western .Suburbs on Saturday.
The squad of 21 has bear chosen by the selectors (Messrs H. J. Walker and A. O’Donnell) to train for Rothman's interprovincial championship games against Wellington (July 22i and Waikato (August 12) In Christchurch.
All four present Kiwis and two former national representatives—G. R. Cooksley and R Walker—are in the squad, from which the only notable absentee Is W. D. Bert. Because of Injury, he is still not available for representative play.
