FAST RAISES $23
Since beginning their fast on Sunday in aid of the Bangladesh youth appeal, Messrs C. McGrath, M. Coughlan, and R. Dunlop have raised $23. Gifts have been placed in a rusted paint tin. The three men were joined yesterday in their hut on the bank of the Avon River by Mr A. Edgeworth, who will stay with them until they end their fast next week. The four men are drinking fruit juice and coffee. They obtained a permit from the Christchurch City Council to allow their hut to remain on the riverbank during the fast.
