Engineers, clerks
Opportunity is taken at the time of the counties’ conference to hold the annual meetings of the Naw Zealand Institute of County Clerks and pf the New Zetland Institute of Countj' Engineers. These two meetings started yesterday and will close today in time for the official opening of the main conference. There was a joint opening ceremony for the officers’ conferences yesterday, at which the main speakers were the president Of the Comities’ Association (Mr C. N. Mackenzie) and the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr N. G. Pickering). The engineers are meeting in the M.E.D. theatrette, and the clerks are at the Horticultural Hall.
