G Walker, against the decision of the Southland Racing Club’s judicial committee in relegating Shirley’s Last from first to second in the Four Roses Bourbon Stakes at the club’s winter meeting at InvercargUl on May 34. Shirley’s Last (B. L Shaw) was relegated after an inquiry. It was alleged that, shortly after straightening up, he shifted Sound inwards and came in conct with Cosh Queen (J. R. Dowling) and caused interference. After the inquiry, Cosh Queen was promoted to first and Shirley’s Last relegated to second. Shaw’s licence was aus pended for one day after he was found guilty of careless riding.
