Guilty plea to robbery
(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, April 27. One of two Oars men who robbed the Horotiu service station on March 27 tied and gagged the couple who owned it and attempts ' to knock them unconscious with a torch, a Lower Court hearing in Hamilton was told. At the end of the hearing Mokai Henare Sewell, aged 22, a driver, and Richard Henare Edmonds, aged 23, a rigger, both pleaded guilty to charges of aggravated robbery. Edmonds also pleaded guilty to a charge of assault The men were remanded to the Supreme court for sentencing. The deipositions were heard before Messrs J. Retter and 1. L. Wilson. J.P.s.
