Basketball trialists
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Three Canterbury players— P. Stlgley, J. Fairweather and H. Dimock—are included among the trialists for the New Zealand men’s basketball team. The 32 named by the selectorcoach, Mr S. McKeen, will undergo two trials—from May 26 to 28 in Christchurch and June 9 to 10 in Wellington—before the team is reduced to 12. The other trialists are:—P. Lund-Jackson, C. Pardon, G. Reardon, R. Agnew, P. Schmidt, G. Pettis, R. Arblaster, J. Cowley, C. Waddell, B. Gregory, B. Beard, K. Hessell (Auckland), R. Plddock (Hamilton), B Morrissey, H. Sirkl (Bay of Plenty), A. Bland, G. Rapaon, M. Zohrab, P. Bevan, T. Griffith (Wellington), J. Tonner, R. Filble (Palmerston North), J. Whelan (Napier), B. Harding, A. McAllister, D. Taylor (Nelson), L. Armstrong. J. McDonald (Otago), D. Sharp (Hutt).
