N. G. Harris for Wairio
"The Press" Special Service INVERCARGILL. The leading North Island apprentice, N. G. Harris, has accepted an invitation to ride at the Wairio Jockey Club’s annual meetng at Riverton on Saturday. Harris, a son of the prominent Woodville trainer, J. W. Harris, has been engaged for seven members of the large team prepared by R. J. Cochrane, who is in line to win the trainers’ championship for the third time. Cochrane has engaged Harris to ride Atomic Flight in the Wairio Cup, the feature event. His other mounts include Red Flight, Cosh Queen, Lord Jasyn, Corrie Maree, Melobelle, and Crunch.
