$200 GIVEN TO CENTRE
A donation of $2OO will be forwarded to the North Canterbury Centre of the Red Cross from the South Christchurch Sub-centre. The money will be distributed to the training fund, meals-on-wheels, the emergency cupboard, the South Pacific fund, the library and used for general expenses. A total of $485.74 was collected in the annual house-to-house collection. Officers elected for 1972 at the annual meeting of the sub-centre were: President, Mrs M. G. Watson; vicepresidents, Miss I. Lewton and Miss J. Timbs; secretary, Miss W. P. Crabbe; treasurer, =• Miss M. M. Price; tea conveners, Mrs J. Bradshaw and Mrs L. Breach; sales table, Miss J. Brown; junior Red Cross liasion, Mrs R. Bull.
