ENGINEER (MECHANICAL) MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT THE NAME: Our client is seeking a graduate or professionally qualified engineer with proven supervisory experience in heavy mechanical maintenance work. The successful applicant will probably have qualified some five to six years ago and may now be responsible for the maintenance of plant in a reasonably large factory. He will be thinking of better prospects with a larger enterprise which can offer the challenge of more complex equipment and more scope for advancement He will also have a reputation for getting things done and maintaining good morale with his staff. THE JOB: The appointee will be responsible to the company’s senior maintenance engineer for budgeting, planning and implementing mechanical maintenance in two manufacturing units in the Auckland area. He will be able to call on the assistance of a planning group or design office and he will be expected to liaise with production management on priority. He will direct the work of two maintenance supervisors and a team of over 30 tradesmen (some of whom work shift).
