Waiho No.l at 3000ft
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. April 6. N.Z. Petroleum, Ltd, reports that the Waiho No. 1 exploratory well in South Westland, is drilling ahead below 3000 feet, a quarter of the way to. its target depth of 12,060 feet. The supervising engineer •at the pg (Mr E. Adams) said that there had been, no sign of hydrocarbons and none was expected at this stage. The well was spudded in
bv a team of United States and New Zealand personnel. The first of a series of three wells was drilled a few miles north last year and the third is planned to be spud-ded-in within the next twelve months.
