FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A weak, cold front is expected to move across New Zealand. Forecast: Canterbury.—Moderate, cool southwesterlies becoming general during the morning, with cloudy skies and isolated showers. Marlborough.—North-westerlies at first, fresh in exposed places, with cloudy areas about the Sounds. A change is likely this afternoon to moderate, cooler southerlies with some isolated showers. Nelson.—Moderate, variable winds. Mainly fine, apart from a few showers this morning especially about the ranges. Buller and Westland.—Moderate, variable winds.
