Good entries for Monday (From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, March 29. Entries for the Mackenzie County Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s seventy-fourth annual show at the show grounds, Falrlle, on Easter Monday, are well up to standard. The sheep section is imposing, there being 370 entries, snd there are 46 entries in the wool classes. In the cattle section, there are 46 entries. The ring programme possesses the hallmarks of success. In all, there are 32 classes. The sheep dog trial comprises two classes —open and open maiden. The produce classes have attracted 148 entries, and there are 287 entries in general classes. “Sporting Scene is the theme of a competition for boys arranged by Country Women's Institutes. Nine groups have entered the contest Needlework and fancywork classes have drawn almost 300 entries, and there are 168 entries in the farm produce sectionThe flower section Is strong (91 entries), and there are 165 entries In the photography section, and 37 in the art classes. Piping and dancing eventa include the South Canterbury under 16 Irish reel champion--1 ship. "Rod run."—Hot-rod enthusl- ! asts from all over the South ! Island will take part In a "rod run” at the week-end.
