If the sheep retention incentive scheme worked as expected it was not anticipated that much of the money would come back to the Government in the form of tax, Mr C. H. Terry, director of the external economic policy and land use division of Treasury, said at the seminar on the scheme at Lincoln College last week-end. If it was used in farm improvements and development this would be tax deductible, he said.
