Stablemates go well
“The Press" Special Service HASTINGS. The stablemate* Coquito and Codeene galloped attractively at Hastings yesterday In preparation for their races at Wairarapa on Saturday. Codeene looks as though he might be on the way back to his best form for the Air New Zealand Handicap and Coquito will contest the Featherston Hack. The course proper and the plough both provided good footOn the course proper, Codeene and Coquito were on terms over six furlongs In Imin 20sec, the last three In 40sec.
Chill, the top-weight for the Tennents Cup, beat Pretty Cockle over five furlongs in Imin Bsec, the last three in 42sec. Chill Is well weighted on Saturday and looks to have held her condition well since her last start Napier Park win.
