Profit rise for S-Biolab
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 28. The group net profit of Smith-Biolab, Ltd, Auckland manufacturer and distributor of pharmaceutical and medical supplies. increased $12,566 or 12.5 per cent to $113,145 to January 31, the directors say in their preliminary report. The dividend rate has been held at 6|c (13 per cent) a share with a final payment of 4c (8 per cent) on June 15, ex dividend June 1. The earning rate on capital was up from 20.6 per cent to 21.6 per cent. The directors’ forecast an increase in the interim report last September.
