Leyland exports
British Leyland reports that its Austin-Morris group exported nearly twice as many cars as any other United Kingdom manufacturer last year — 302,727 worth £2som. The total was 7 per cent higher than in the previous year, representing 41 per cent of all British car exports to world markets and 67 per cent of exports to Europe. The group’s production of car packs for assembly abroad rose onethird to a record 186,882. — (PA.)
