Field day plans
A tussock country field day will be held next Wednesday, beginning at 10 am., on the 1921-acres property of Mr E. C. Lynn on the Te Moana Gorge road, 10 miles from Geraldine. The organisers are the pasture committee of South Canterbury Federated Farmers, the Department of Agriculture, the South Canterbury Catchment Board and the South Canterbury private farm advisory group, Messrs Etweli, Hermann and Aimstrong. Speakers during the day will include the chairman of tire pasture committee of Federated Farmers, the farmer, and representatives of the Catchment Board, the private farm advisory group, Department of Agriculture. Lincoln College, and the State Advances Corporation. People attending the field day are required to bring their own lunch with a drink and to reach the farm they are advised to follow the signs from Speechleys’ bridge and pass the Te Moana school. If wet proceedings will be held in the wool shed.
