: Do you want to know whether your garden needs more lime? If so, and you take a sample of your soil to the open day at Lincoln College tomoc- ; row, the soil science department will make a pH test to find-out for I you.
The sample should be taken from about 10 sites in the garden selected at random and should consist of 2oz to 4oz. It should be mixed up In a dry container or plastic beg and in case the soil science department at the college cannot do the test on the spot, the sample should be accompanied by a label with your name, address, and telephone number on it so that the result can be conveyed to you.
Visitors to the college for the open day will also be able to take part in what are known as computer “games” and will thus be able to get some Idea of how such “games” are used in teaching at the I college. They will be posed with a business problem ; and will fill in forms and see the results produced ! by the computer. This will Ibe in the agricultural ; economics and marketing ; department.
