WHAKATANE, Mar. 23.
A motorist yelled to two men pushing a ministerial car out of soft pumice on the Whakatane to Tauranga State highway* at Otamarakau, “Why don’t you tell the Minister of Works — we’ve been trying to?”
One of the men looked up from the reconstructed
roadway, a constant cause of complaint from motorists who have been bogged down. It was Mr Allen, the Minister.
