RADICAL ACTION
The Washdyke-Mount John committee is resolved that further radical action will be necessary unless the Canterbury University Council takes positive steps to epd the lease for die site of the Mount John satellite tracking station, according to Mr G. Wells, a spokesman for the committee. Mr Wells said the decision was taken at a meeting of the committee this week and the outcome would depend on what the university council did at its meeting next week. “The university council has had ample opportunity to take up and carefully examine the matter of military intrusion into the university sphere by way of military grants and projects,” he said.
