Welfare work in Christchurch
Sir,—The welfare committee, its officers, and I could not do without the assistance and dedicated interest of the Mayoress. I can only think how lucky the committee is that she is giving up so much of her time as Mayoress to work with us. Personally, I feel we cannot work without each other. Working together we are doing far more, faster than I at any rate could do alone. Who gets credit for what, is not the point The point is that we all want to find the areas of greatest need and together we want to do our best to meet this need.—Yours, etc., NANCY SUTHERLAND, Chairman, Welfare Committee, Christchurch City Council. March 21, 1972.
