Statements at variance
The statement in the United Nations report on abortion, that early termination of pregnancy carried out in proper conditions was approximately five times safer than normal childbirth, directly contradicted the statements made repeatedly in the newsletter of the Society for the Protection of the Unborn Child, Dr J. R. E. Dobson said yesterday. Dr Dobson of the department of psychological medicine at Christchurch Hospital, said it had been reported that this newsletter greatly influenced the attitude of the Association of Anglican Women. “If the society is so far astray about simple facts, should we believe the rest of their propaganda,” Dr Dobson said.
