CONGRATULATIONS.—Mr P. A. Tait, who has received the Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service in the Air, being congratulated by Mr J. W. Reid (left), managing director of Helicopters (N.Z.). Ltd, after Mr Tait, who is the firm’s operations manager, arrived in Nelson from Greymouth yesterday. Mrs Tait, who is Mr Reid’s secretary, is looking on. Mr Tait received the award in recognition of his exceptional flying skill and personal courage in rescuing, by helicopter, an injured Russian fisherman from a vessel off Westport last year.
