Tax-free dividend
Sharland and Company will pay an interim dividend of 6 per cent on March 30, ex dividend March 27. It will be paid from realised capital profits and will therefore be tax free in the hands of the shareholders. The increase in the rate of the interim dividend is a move by the directors to distribute payments more evenly.
