Horses for U.S.
Twenty-four horses wilt leave Christchurch Airport tomorrow afternoon on a flight chartered by the New York trainer, M. Proman, who for the last fortnight has been buying horses in New Zealand. Nine horses, including the cup class pacer. Upper Class, were secured In Otago and Southland and about a dozen have been secured In Canterbury in the last few days. They Include the speedy mare. In Disguise, Ferry Hill, Great Fortune, Snow Light, Top Tune, Young Robin and Electrify. The North Island horses on the flight include the 1969 Great Northern Derby winner. First Batch, and Old Blackle. The purchases were negotiated by the Yaldhurst trainer, I. L. Schwamm.
