Miss Kane in team
Misses T. Kane (Canterbury) and J. Gdanitz (Otago) will represent the southern region in the 400 metres in the Olympic track and field trials at Auckland on March 18. Named with them are Misses B. Whale (Waikato), K. Hawkins (Wellington), and J. Ross (West Coast-North Island). The 800 metres contestants are S. Haden, A. Smith (Auckland), C. Owens (Wellington), J. Jones (Hawke’s Bay), M. Boath (Otago) and J. Beale (Canterbury). A Press Association message from Wellington on Monday made a mistake in the team.
