Open fours bowls
Four teams—Mrs L. Carson (Wooiston), Mrs B. Hobbs (St Martin’s), Mrs A. Beazley (Linwood) and Mrs A. Forbes (Burwood)— have reached the semifinals of the Christchurch Women’s Bowling Centre’s open {ours competition. They were the only survivors of the 33 who played yesterday’s rounds at the Wooiston Working Men’s Club green. Results of yesterday’s quarterfinal matches were:— Mrs Carson 13, Mrs E Warren ms s Mrs E. Silvester (Shirley) 8. The centre’s open pain competition will begin today. ______
