Tyre shortage alleged

PALMERSTON NORTH, March 7. The Retail Motor Trade Association is' to ask the Department of Industries and Commerce for an “urgent investigation” into an alleged national tyre shortage. A meeting of the executive last week decided to take action after it heard reports of the “serious situation” throughout New Zealand on the supply of tyres for popular cars.
