“ARTS AND FLOWERS,” a floral display featuring craft work opened in Christchurch yesterday. The display is being run by the Christchurch branch of the English Speaking Union and the Canterbury Flower Arrangement Society. Admiring an exhibit are the chairman of the women’s committee of the union, Mrs Noelene Mcllroy (left), and Mrs Merle Glasgow, president of the society. Proceeds from the exhibition will go to the National Heart Foundation, and the organisers hope to raise , more than $500. The display will be open until Friday.
