Lions game sought
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON.
The British sports journalist, Vivian Jenkins, has called for home internationals by the British Isles against New Zealand on the All Black tour of Britain this year.
Writing in the “Sunday Times,” Jenkins supported a "match” between the All Blacks and the Lions after the British success on the tour of New Zealand last year.
He quoted the Lions’ manager on that tour, Dr D. Smith, as making “a telling point” in a recent address.
“I have onlv one regret,” Dr Smith said. “It is that the Lions will not be playing the All Blacks when they come here next (northern) season.” Dr Smith said that British Rugby followers would be keen to see the Lions in action.
