Nth Island riflemen
(xV.Z. Press Association! HAMILTON. Five riflemen have been chosen after trials on the Putaruru Smallbore Rifle Club’s range at the week-end as the North Island finalists for New Zealand’s two-man Olympic shooting team. The group, named by the North Island selector (Mr R. J. Uden, of Putaruru), is M. Watt (Auckland), B. Lacey (Levin), L. Wilton (Carterton), I. Newton (Wellington), and J. Withers (Putaruru). They will compete with South Island finalists in trials at Putaruru on March 11 and 12, and at Christchurch on April 15 and 16.
