LUNA 20 LANDS

The Soviet Union has announced that the spacecraft on her latest moon mission, Luna 20, has softlanded on what the official news agency, Tass, describes as “the mountainous mainland area” of the moon.
The Bochum tracking station in West Germany says that Luna 20 has already begun to transmit pictures of the terrain.
