New symphony
The Fifteenth Symphony of the Russian composer, Dmitri Shostakovich, has been given its first performance, by the Soviet Radio and Television Orchestra, conducted by his son, Maxin. The symphony, the first purely instrumental 0..4 Shostakovich has written for 18 years, was played at the Moscow Conservatory.— Moscow, Jan. 9.
