Fastest time to Ferrari
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copt/right) BUENOS AIRES. R. Peterson (Sweden) and T. Schenken (Australia) in a Ferrari, were fastest in practice for the 1000-kilometre opening event in the 1972 World Manufacturers’ Championship today (New Zealand time). Peterson and Schenken lapped at an average speed of 112.56 m.p.h. over the 3.8mile circuit at the municipal autodrome. Second best was the Alfa Romeo team of T. Hezemans (Netherlands) and R. Stommelen (West Germany). The two Italian cars will lead off in the Indianapolisstyle start when the 168-lap event begins.
