Trophy race to Perry

WZ. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The 21-year-old Auckland rider, G. Perry rode his Suzuki TR to perfection to score an easy win in the senior New Zealand 500 c.c. tourist trophy race at Pukekohe on Saturday. The veteran, W. G. Molloy, led from the starting line, but Perry took over the lead at the top of the front straight in the fifth lap and held on to win in the very fast time of 14min 22.8 sec. This was the first senior T.T. win for Perry. His father won the event four times.
