OBITUARY Miss I. Wheatley
A former sub-matron of Coronation Hospital, Miss Iris Kathleen Wheatley, died on Tuesday in Christchurch. Miss Wheatley served at the hospital from January, 1934, until her retirement in December, 1953. She also nursed in Oamaru and Waimate, and came to Christchurch at a time when nursing of tuberculosis patients was a hard and demanding job, with no cure known for the disease.
