It has scored 44 points from four matches, and only if it is beaten by Central Districts — the match starts at Masterton on Tuesday—is Auckland or Wellington likely to put in a challenge. The northern teams may be helped, however, if weather interferes at Masterton.
Wellington plays Northern Districts at Hamilton, also starting on Tuesday. Canterbury’s final match, with Central Districts, is at Nelson on Friday, and Auckland starts its game with Wellington at Auckland the same day. The final match is between ” Auckland and Northern Districts at Auckland on January 21. The points table is: Perform.
