First-innings win to N.Z.

(N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY. A great bowling effort by the spinner, J. Lord, highlighted New Zealand’s first innings win over New South Wales in the women’s cricket match yesterdya. New Zealand, scoring 222 for nine declared and two for 36, defeated New South Wales, 154 and 157 for nine declared. In a 17-over speU, Lord captured eight for 63 in the New

South Wales second innings after her three for 52 in the first innings. The New Zealand wicketkeeper, B. Brentnall, gave a polished performance behind the stumps, with seven stumpings and three catches to her credit.
