Race won by Kent, Dean
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The Wellington pair, H. D. Kent and J. A. Dean, won the New Zealand madison cycling championship at Papatoetoe Stadium on Saturday night. Their time was 2hr 20min 37sec They had 65 points after 360 laps and were two laps in front of K. Cross and R. Avery (Auckland). In the third place were P. Medhurst and L. Mann (Auckland). three laps down, and fourth were the Christchurch riders, M. Litolff and J. Mullins, five laps down. In the final of the Queen City Wheel Race over 12 miles for $lOO, W. Gunderson (Point. Chevalier) won from G. Kerr {Northern) and Litolff.
